Uyi Godson, a close associate of Wizkid, is uneasy about how enthusiastically Nigerians are receiving Carter Efe’s debut song, Machala.
Godson criticized Carter and other artists for creating the song, which is dedicated to Wizkid, calling it “nonsense” and “rubbish” and criticizing them for creating a song that “cannot cross over.”
He expressed his disapproval of the song’s lyrics in a video, saying: “Nigerians love listening to gibberish music that can’t go over, what is, I Dey do like Machala.”
A user on the internet responded to this by asking: “So you be expecting him to sing like Burna boy or what. He’s just a comic, dude. Stop the hate, my friend.
