Peter Okoye reacts to news of Seun Kuti slapping a Police Officer.

Peter Okoye, better known by his stage name Mr. P, has responded to reports that Seun Anikulapo Kuti, a fellow singer, assaulted a Nigerian police officer.

In response to the news, Mr. P apologized on Seun’s behalf for the ensuing brawl and asked with the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) to temper justice with mercy on his verified Twitter account. A screenshot of his tweet is provided below.

He said that he understood from the accounts he received that Mr. Seun’s family was in danger, which is what caused the altercation.

Recall that Mr. Seun Anikulapo Kuti, a progeny of the legendary Fela Anikulapo Kuti recently slapped a police officer and has been called for interrogations as regards his actions by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Alkali Baba.
