Simi, a singer, has thr£atened to sue “Mini Trade,” a Ponzi scheme, for using her image without her permission.

The singer said that the app that could have used her image to mislead unwitting members of the public did not have her endorsement or any other association.

The well-known Nigerian musician Simisola Kosoko, often known as Simi, has vowed to sue an app.

The singer expressed concern about what she characterised as the “unauthorised” usage of her image by the “Mini Trade” mobile ponzi scam app.

The singer said that the app that could have used her image to mislead unwitting members of the public did not have her endorsement or any other association.

The “Joromi” singer said on Tuesday that legal action will be taken against the mobile app as a result of the usage of her image without her authorization. The press release was signed by the singer’s business manager, Kemi Owo, and was acquired by SaharaReporters.

“It is illegal and repugnant to utilise her famous status as a reliable, kind, and honest person. Simi will never advise her followers or fellow residents to make any kind of investment.

“Simi was never notified before the app used her image in an unlawful and criminal manner. Our legal team has already received a briefing on this, and we intend to file a complaint for the wrongful and unpermitted use of her image and likeness to advertise this software, the statement said.

The software promises that users would earn N16,000 in a minute for an investment of N200.
